UnitedHealthcare and Hartford Healthcare Contract Negotiations
UnitedHealthcare and Hartford Healthcare are still in “active” contract negotiations. The current contract ends on April 1, 2025. These usually work themselves out before the deadline; however, I did want to make our Medicare Advantage clients aware they do have until March 31st (OEP – Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period) to switch carriers if they so choose.
Our advice is to wait this out a bit before making any changes and let’s take a look in mid-March to see where things stand. This contract (or lack thereof) does not affect our clients with a Medicare Supplement (i.e., Plan G or N) or those with a drug (PDP) plan with UnitedHealthcare.
